App lock

Lock the dictionary behind your device screen lock. Choose after 30 seconds, after 60 seconds, or every time the app is closed.

Your dictionary holds your own words, notes and favorites. App lock keeps them private on a shared phone.

Turn it on in Settings and pick when the lock should apply:

  • After 30 seconds in the background.
  • After 60 seconds in the background.
  • Every time the app is fully closed — the lock is asked for on the next launch.

There is no separate password to remember: the app uses Android's own screen lock, so you unlock it exactly the way you unlock your phone — PIN, pattern, password or the biometric method your device is set up with. Nothing is stored by the app, and nothing is sent anywhere.

App lock is available on Android only for now.

How it works

1 · Open Settings
Settings is at the bottom of the navigation drawer.
2 · Turn on App lock
Your device must already have a screen lock set up.
3 · Choose when it locks
After 30 seconds, after 60 seconds, or every time the app is closed.
